-The Princely Collection

It is said that America, being such a young country, is a country with no culture, no history, no heritage. As Americans have truly descended from the citizens of the world, we must remind ourselves of our true individuality, our rich and eclectic past which was born from the greatest reaches of the world, the visionaries, the explorers, the truly eager and willful. The Lobkowicz family fully embraces this ideal as they merge their trail of history with the path of their future. Their ancestry dates back to the 16th century and has endured political unrest and major events in world history. The family’s Nelahozeves Castle and Lobkowicz Castle are home to numerous historically significant art works, rare artifacts, an impressive library, and, most notably, the history of one of Europe’s oldest families.

Taking a refreshing perspective on tradition, they are a breath of fresh air, a dignified American influence in the world of old tradition in which Europe thrives. After a tumultuous century during which estates and properties were seized in the midst of world wars and other events found in the history books of our schools, the Lobkowicz palaces and Princely Collections have born witness to a multitude of historical events and radical world transformations. Thanks to careful documentation, the Lockowiczes are recreating the inheritance that is rightfully theirs. As they reacquire their collection and put it to rest in the Nelahozeves Castle and the Lobkowicz Castle, they are in turn creating an atmosphere in which the public can learn of our collective world history and build a relationship with the past as we march forward into the future.
